Overview

Goldsmid House is situated in the heart of central London, close to Victoria Station, and just a short walk away from Green Park, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral, St James Park, St James Palace, Hyde Park and many more famous attractions. Goldsmid House provides good value for money summer accommodation in single ensuite rooms from late June until early September.

Each floor has a large kitchen shared with up to seven other guests - Limited cooking facilities/utensils available - kettles, toasters and microwaves. Goldsmid House is divided in two buildings around an external podium area.

There are many bars, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets are close by.

Please be advised there is ongoing construction works adjacent to Goldsmid and you can expect construction noises -Monday-Friday, between 8 am-6 pm and Saturday 8 am-1 pm - apologies in advance.

Food & beverage

Goldsmid House offers the use of communal kitchens. Goldsmid residence has refrigerators, freezers, toasters, kettles and microwaves, as well as basic crockery, cutlery and utensils. Many restaurants are within walking distance.
Kitchens are cleaned frequently (at least once weekly). Guests are responsible for cleaning and tidying. Kitchens and communal rooms can be used between 07:00hrs and 22:00hrs daily. Please observe silence after 11 pm at night not to cause disturbance to other guests.

Grounds & Gardens

There is an external podium area between the two blocks of Goldsmid House. Green Park and St. James Park are within walking distance.

Other facilities

There is lift access to all rooms.

An ironing board and iron and both available in each kitchen.

There are window restrictors on all windows for H&S reasons. There is no AC on site.

The location is excellent. The staff were very helpful, and helped me carry luggage when the elevator was briefly out of service. My room and all of the common areas were clean and tidy. Communication was prompt and clear about the elevator outage and the ongoing construction noise. The only issue was that my room was opposite the loading dock and out vent for the Sainsbury's across the street--a little louder than preferred at night. But I would 100% stay again, it was GREAT otherwise.

UCL Goldsmid House accommodation by Universityrooms is wonderful. You have all you need. The location is unbeatable just a short walk from Victoria train, coach and subway stations . You have a large kitchen,microvawe, toaster, fridge, all utensils, iron,ironing board, all. Rooms are clean and comfortable. All the staff are polite. It is a wonderful experience.

I was particularly impressed with the communication when there was no hot water, and when it was fixed. My room was directly opposite Sainsbury's Air conditioning outlet, so was quite noisy (as I had to keep the windows open because of the heat) but that was just unfortunate - so not a complaint.

Room was clean and nice and quite spacious. En suite shower was clean and modern and everything worked well. Summer heat and courtyard building demolition was a bit uncomfortable but out of anyone's control. Excellent location and excellent value for money in central London! Will be back.

Cleaning was not done the last week, and the building retains too much warmth, which means that it is impossible to sleep without having the window open, but the kitchen and room were overall really functional and clean

Goldsmid house is wonderful. The location is excellent. Easy to commute both in London and out from here. The staff is very attentive and follow all the needs promptly. It is a very happy experience there.

From Victoria Station, turn right into Wilton Road. When you reach Gillingham Street, turn right, and Goldsmid House is on the right hand side.There is no parking at Goldsmid House. Guests may store their luggage for a short while, subject to availability.
