Food & beverage

Accommodation is offered on a self-catering basis with a fully fitted kitchen designed for catering for large groups. The kitchen is fully kitted out with pots, pans, plates etc., along with a large cooker, microwave and toaster.

Tesco and Asda will deliver directly to the centre through their online ordering system. Settle is the largest town to the centre and is less than 10 miles /16km away. The town has a variety of shops and facilities.

Grounds & Gardens

The centre sits on top of an incredible limestone pavement, with panoramic views across the area.

Other facilities

Please note that cellular reception at the centre is very limited and there is no WiFi provision available.

The following items are not stored in the centre and will need to be taken to the centre for your stay:

  • Bedding and towels (sleeping bags are easiest!)
  • First aid equipment
  • Toilet roll
  • Dish cloths / tea-towels
  • Bin bags
  • Cleaning products / detergent

There is a large, centrally heated common room space in the middle of the centre with tables, chairs and a large whiteboard for planning activities.

The drying room is located to the right of the main entrance to the centre as you enter.  This contains two electric fan heaters and a three-speed extractor fan on the outside wall.  The switches for the lights and fans are outside the drying room door.  Regulate the number of fans and speeds according to the requirements. The drying room is always a great deal more efficient with the door closed and the extractor fans not on full.

Such a fantastic place, and facilities are really excellent - hot showers, drying room, and great kitchen. Only issue this time was being given the wrong keycode (twice), but luckily got in fine. Wonderful hiking and caving.
