Overview

Welcome in our B&B, a friendly, quiet and intimate environment where you will feel greeted by the hospitality of our house.

Situated in an indipendent, recently renotaved 3-floor building from the 1900s, the B&B Settembrini is located in one of the most lively districts of Florence, at the edge of the historical centre, under the Fiesole hill, between the Artemio Franchi Stadium, the Mandela Forum and European University.

If you arrive by car, there will be no problem with parking. The bus stops (bus n. 1A, 1B, 7 and C1) are just few steps away and in few minutes you can reach the city centre and the station.

There are single and double rooms, bright and finely furnished, well heated in winter and cool in summer, equipped with TV and every comforts. All bathrooms are ensuite.


History

Building from the 1900s mentioned in the novel “Metello” written by Vasco Pratolini. The most important renovation has been made between the 1990 and 1994 and mainly consisted in the enhancement of the garden and attic room with its large terrace.

Food & beverage

Breakfast is included in the price and is served at the ground floor, in a living room overlooking the garden, and according to guests needs.

A kitchenette is also available.

Grounds & Gardens

Just few steps away from the B&B there is the Horticultural Garden and the Pettini area. Access is free in both of them.

We are in the Cure-Campo Marte district, at the edge with the historical centre which is reachable in 20-25 minutes walking and in 5-10 minutes by bus.

From the airport the distance is roughly 5km: there is a shuttle bus which links the airport with the Central Station santa Maria Novella. Here you can find the teminal of bus n. 1A and 1B. Get off at the end of Viale Don Minzoni and take the pedestrian underpass at the side of the stop. After 50m, on the left, climb the stairs which takes to Via L. La Vista and then right onto Via Settembrini: it is 250m in total from the bus stop.

For those arriving by car there is a free carpark just 50m from the B&B. For those arriving from Rome exit at Firenze Sud, those arriving from Milan axit at Firenze Nord. For everybody, the reference is Firenze Centro, Piazza della Libertà-Stadio.

From Piazza Libertà go trough Viale Don Minzoni and over the Cure overpass.

Please note that tourists visiting the city of Florence will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.50 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
