Overview

Set in the heart of Oxford's charming centre, New College offers a variety of accommodation options across three unique sites, with rooms ranging from premium ensuite to standard budget.

The premium double ensuite rooms give you the opportunity to stay in the late 17th century Garden Quadrangle set within the College's Old Buildings. These rooms offer a higher quality of furnishings and a great insight inside one of Oxford's oldest Colleges.

The budget ensuite rooms in Bodicote House can offer views of the City Wall, which encloses the College garden. This external accommodation block on Longwall Street just steps away from High Street.

Many of the New College Lane rooms boast views of the Bridge of Sighs and offer an extremely convenient base for your stay in Oxford. These single rooms have shared bathrooms but are only a street away from the Bodleian Library and the Radcliffe Camera.

As part of your stay at New College, you will receive complimentary access to explore the College grounds, subject to opening times and planned closures - the normal admission fee is £12! Please collect a voucher from the Porters Lodge.

Important notice - Staircases/accommodation blocks do not contain passenger lifts and all guests must be aged 18 or over. New College does not allow stag or hen parties. Please also note that there is a 2-night minimum stay at weekends (arriving on a Friday or Saturday).

I really enjoyed my stay. The porters were lovely, I had a room on the top floor with a nice breeze coming in, lovely clean sheets and a nice bathroom with a shower cubicle. There was a kettle, tea, coffee, biscuits and a box of toiletries. The porters' lodge is on Holywell Road, not far from the Sheldonian Theatre on Broad St. You collect and drop off your keys there. Bodicote House is on Long Wall street with the entrance half way down the row of houses. The rooms are reached via a staircase.

I really loved the experience of having a room at New College! It was such a delight to be able to explore the college and to stay in the dormitory. If I could give one suggestion, it would be to provide suggestions for where to do the wash (laundry). As bed-and-breakfast participants in the college, I wasn't allowed to use the laundry facilities in the building, despite them being around the corner from me.

Located right next to the Bridge of Sigh and Sheldonian Theatre, it is walking distance to most tourist attractions in Oxford. Thank you to the cleaners too, who have done an incredible job with the washing areas and the room. Overall very happy with my stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a stay in Oxford.

It's hard to complain as everyone was so helpful, but we would have loved to stay in the older section of New College as opposed to the new building. But then again, we don't know what those rooms were like. It's hard to expect a perfect experience, so we appreciated everything regardless.

Initially put in room overlooking road with awful traffic noise but after my first night the kind, helpful porters were able to arrange a move across the landing which transformed my stay. Room had everything I needed and was blissfully peaceful. Thank you.

A beautiful experience to discover Oxford ! Rooms are very confortable and very well located in town center. It felt like we were students and we had the great opportunity to visit New College which is one of the most famous of Oxford.
