Overview

The Coach House is situated in a quiet side-street alongside St Mary's Church, Bathwick, and is less than ten minutes level walk to Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths and the main shopping area.

From the entrance hall, the staircase leads upstairs to the light and airy sitting room; two leather sofas and a couple of woven cane chairs are ready to welcome the party. From the sitting room, there is a door leading through to the kitchen.

The upper bedrooms are situated at the back of the house over-looking the neat town gardens. Both upper bedrooms share the bright and large shower room.

The lower bedrooms both overlook the town garden behind the Coach House, and have ample wardrobe space. The single bedroom has a pretty blue theme with a Toile de Jouy bedspread and the cream room has the option of either twin singles or a double bed. Guests downstairs share their own shower-room.


Check in: 17:30 (5:30pm) - 19:00 (7:00pm) (arrivals may be allowed outside this window if your travel plans can't be adjusted however this is subject to availability)

Food & beverage

The light and commodious kitchen of The Coach House is fully equipped for guest needs. The birch-fronted units include a fridge and separate freezer, plenty of storage space and crockery, glasses and implements for catering. A fan-assisted electric oven is complemented by a 5-ring gas hob.

The dining table can accommodate 8 people thanks to the practically fitted bench seat converted from two church pews. The table is located under a large skylight will add sunlight to breakfast!

There are a variety of local restaurants within walking distance offering multiple cuisines for those wishing to dine out.

Other facilities

The house is accessed via two steps up from the cobbled forecourt. Two bedrooms and a shower room are on the ground floor, but all other rooms are on the first floor up some 18 steps. So not overly suited to wheelchair access.

The City Centre with all its highlights - Roman Baths, Pump Room,  the Abbey,
Royal Crescent, Assembly Rooms - all are within easy walking distance.

The House has a single parking space directly in front, and yet is only fifteen minutes walk from the Bath Spa bus and train stations - alternatively enjoy a leisurely 5-minute taxi ride.
