Overview

Set up on the 3rd floor, in a cosy and elegant environment, Ape Rosa is the ideal solution for those who want to have a relaxing stay or for those who are in Florence for business trips.

The rooms are located on upper floors and are reachable by the internal stairs.
They are large and bright and are furnished with antique furniture, sober and classic fabrics and curtains, with fresco ceilings.

All rooms are equipped with private bathroom with shower or bath. The typical, classical style of the accommodation is supplemented by all the comforts, such as LCD Color TV, unlimited ADSL Internet connection, independent heating and air conditioning, safety box and kettle.

History

This old villa dates back to the late 1700s and was used as a guest house (a 540 square metre guest house) of the nearby renaissance "Villa Granduchessa".

This last villa was owned by numerous Florentine families and also by a brother of Napoleon and the Grand Duke of Tuscany Leopoldo II, hence the name.

Today the atmosphere at Ape Rosa is unchanged, and the surrounding green spaces (including our private garden) make our guests feel like being so much away from the city, albeit only at a few minutes distance from its main attractions.

The park, which surrounds the villa, has an Italian-style garden with plants and flowers of every type, from magnolias to colorful roses, giant lemon trees and azaleas contained in huge ancient basins.

From Santa Maria Novella train station: with the train tracks behind you, take the exit on the left and reach the bus stop of the bus n.4. Get off at the bus stop “Via dei Cappuccini” or at the next one “Via Massaia”, Ape Rosa Relais is located right in between these two stops, in Via dei Cappuccini 12.

Please note that tourists visiting the city of Florence will be requested to pay a Tourist Tax of €2.00 per person per night, for a maximum of 10 consecutive nights. This tax is not included in the price of the room and must be paid directly at reception upon arrival.
