Overview

Harris Manchester College is situated in a quiet corner of Mansfield Road and Holywell Street. It is minutes away from the city centre, University parks and approximately 15/20 minutes walk from the railway station.

College facilities are not the same as a hotel but offer something more unique. The renovated period rooms are comfortable and perfect for a quiet stay in the heart of Oxford. Each room has tea and coffee-making facilities and cloud WI-Fi. They are all single ensuite rooms with some twin rooms available.


History

Harris Manchester College is one of the constituent colleges of the university. It was founded in Warrington in 1757 as a college for unitarian students and moved to Oxford in 1893. It is a mature student college and was granted its university charter in 1996. It is the smallest undergraduate college in either of the Oxbridge Colleges, with around 250 students. 

Joseph Priestley, the scientist who discovered Oxygen, was among the first tutors of the College. 

Food & beverage

The College offers B&B only. Breakfast is served in the stunning Arlosh Hall from 8am to 9am. 

Tea and coffee making facilities are available in all bedrooms. 

It is ideally situated to the city centre for food outlets, bars and restaurants. Information packs are available suggesting local attractions and restaurants. 

Grounds & Gardens

Harris Manchester College boasts beautiful grounds and open spaces. 

It is located just a few minutes walk from the University Parks and the Oxford Botanical Gardens.

The College has cloud WI-FI available. 

Laundry facilities are located onsite, and guests can ask for directions from the check-in desk. 

Luggage storeage is available on a short-term basis before check-in time and after check-out time.
