Our owner Henry has a love for travel, socialising and enjoying great food and wine with friends and family. Having travelled extensively it's all about creature comforts and these start with the environment which has to be vibrant, welcoming, and stylish.
In 2022 Henry purchased what was the Royal Standard here in Wallingford and commenced a complete refurbishment of what was a rather neglected gem. The newly refurbished and rebranded Royal was reopened in May 2023. The pub, gardens and rooms have been completely transformed sympathetic to its 120-year history with a tasteful modern styling to an extremely high standard.
