The lovely and professional porters at Hughes Hall are helpful and get you sorted quickly, including offering luggage storage if you arrive early. The rooms are basic but sparkling clean. And the location is close to the train station and also central to exploring Cambridge. If you're planning to be out and about all day, Hughes Hall is a great value choice for your stay.

Our second stay at Hughes Hall as we were so impressed last time. The staff in the porter’s lodge were very friendly and helpful and it was great being able to park on site. Our room was spotlessly clean and everything was provided. Having a well equipped kitchen was perfect. If we come to Cambridge again we will definitely try and book again. Thank you

Really lovely stay, check in process was straight forward and I felt so welcomed. I appreciated being shown around too to get my bearings. Bedroom was a great size, plenty of storage space and great to have a fridge stocked with milk/ kettle/ tea making facilities etc. Excellent value for money

Very small and hot room (under the roof). The breakfast is OK. The location is very noisy. They charge you extra for parking the car on the premises. In other colleges, if available, it is included, for example in Murray Edwards College.

I can’t rate the attention and service of the college staff too highly. The reception and security staff went above and beyond my expectations and we couldn’t have felt more welcome by the friendly staff.
